Searches at 92 locations in a file on hospital bid rigging

The Information and Public Relations Office announces that prosecutors from the National Anticorruption Directorate - Suceava Territorial Service are investigating a criminal case concerning alleged corruption and related offenses committed between 2018-2023 by public officials in a hospital unit. The case concerns fraud in competitions for vacant positions.

On 13 December 2023, with legal authorization from the competent court, house searches were carried out in 92 locations, located in Botoșani and Iași counties. These included three public institutions, the county headquarters of a political party and the homes of individuals, according to General Anti-Corruption Directorate. 

Prosecutors are supported in this operation by the General Anti-Corruption Directorate and the Bacău Mobile Gendarmerie Group.
