The Agriculture Payments and Intervention Agency (APIA) has announced that applications for agreement to fund the state aid scheme for the reduction of excise duty on diesel used in agriculture in 2024 can be submitted until 3 January.

According to APIA, applicants can submit applications at APIA's county centres or in the Municipality of Bucharest, where the agricultural holdings for which state aid is requested are located or where payment applications for area support schemes have already been submitted, according to Agerpres

The procedure involves the issuing of a prior agreement for reimbursement financing by the APIA Centres, within a maximum of 20 working days from the date of submission of the application for agreement. Agricultural producers and interested farmers can thus benefit from financial support for the reduction of excise duty on diesel used in the agricultural sector, facilitating their activity and helping to support this important sector of the economy.
