Starting Monday, December 11, the Slovak Union of Carriers (UNAS) plans to resume blocking truck traffic through the Vysne Nemecke-Uzhhorod checkpoint, according to a report by UNAS. Carriers from Hungary will also join the protest.

According to the carriers, the decision to resume the protest was made on Sunday, December 10, due to "the impact on the Slovakian road transport market." The carriers plan to start blocking the border at 15:00, and the duration of the event is currently unknown. The carriers intend to restrict freight transportation entry into Slovakia without affecting personal vehicle traffic.

UNAS also noted that it joins the protests in Poland, which have been going on since November 6, and since December 11 in Hungary. The Association of Hungarian Trucking Contractors MKFE has also announced a protest demanding the abolition of the visa-free regime for Ukraine. The protest will take place near the Záhony-Chop checkpoint.
