German, Italian, and Spanish passports rank number 2 worldwide

Passport strength

According to the Henley Passport Index 2023, the German, Italian, and Spanish passports have moved up to second place in the global ranking . Citizens from these three nations are to visit 190 global destinations without a prior visa.

The Index, which is a comprehensive ranking on all passports worldwide, focuses primarily on the number of destinations that holders can access without a visa

Singapore has taken the first place, with visa-free access to 192 destinations. The most recent ranking was conducted based on data provided by the International Air Transport Authority (IATA) , which is considered the largest and most accurate travel information database in the world.

Tied in the third ranking spot are Japan, Austria, Finland, France, Luxembourg, South Korea and Sweden. While Denmark, Ireland, the Netherlands and the UK come in at fourth. 

The ranking is welcomed with much enthusiasm from citizens who love to travel.
