The refined world of art: eventful "Museum Night"
On May 18, 2023, "Museum Night" celebrates its 19th anniversary, uniting hundreds of events in Romania and the Republic of Moldova. In addition to the traditional opening of museums to the public, this year's event also features unique light shows, performances, presentations, masterclasses, and concerts.
As reported by Radio Romania international , one of the interesting participants in the Museum Night was the Bucharest Choreographic School "Floria Capsali," which once again became a partner of the event. Doyna Georgescu, a dance teacher, shared her impressions: "We have been participating in this project for several times now. This year, we decided to reveal the secrets of dancers, showcasing training in classical, contemporary, Romanian, and character dance. We also provided an opportunity to showcase piano playing skills. We have many talented children in the field of painting who presented their works. We gave a brief presentation of the school's history and its international achievements."
The school also introduced future ballet artists, allowing guests to peek behind the scenes of performances and witness the stages of dancers' development. Museum Night was a great opportunity to learn more about the dance profession and the impressive creative world of the school.
An important moment was the collaboration with the National Historical Museum, where students presented an artistic program. Collaboration with the Bucharest National Opera also provided an opportunity to showcase the school's performances at the "Ceremonial School Gala Concert" held at the end of May.
Cooperation with the world opera stage goes beyond "Museum Night." Alexandru Nadă, artistic director of the Bucharest National Opera, spoke about participation in the event: "This year was a special opportunity to take part in Museum Night. We offered a unique tour of the opera house, including the National Opera Museum. We allowed the audience to enjoy 'Live Opera' – a concept that included excerpts from arias and performances by young opera actors."
The Experimental Studio of Musical Performing Arts named after Ludovic Spiess made its contribution, presenting over 40 talented young artists in an extended form. This performance in celebration of the 85th anniversary of the great tenor Ludovic Spiess became a special event”.
All of this allowed the audience to enjoy not only the traditional museum exhibits but also to dive deeper into the world of art and creativity through various performances and performances.
