The Office of the President of Ukraine (OPU) criticized the UN's statement on the lack of sufficient evidence of genocide in Ukraine. Mykhailo Podoliak, an advisor to the head of the Office of the President, accused Commissioner Eric Mose of encouraging Moscow's actions and condemned the organisation's position, which once again demonstrates its inability to influence the situation in Ukraine.

"What is political toothlessness and indirect encouragement of criminals? An endless masterclass from the UN. This time, Commissioner Eric Mose, the head of the UN, directly states that he does not see any intention to commit genocide by Russia against the citizens of Ukraine. Well, of course, because the Russians came to kill us... in a friendly, massive way. Specifically Ukrainians, but without intent. And rockets fly into cities every night, just as friendly. And the attempt to destroy the energy infrastructure in winter, so that people die from the cold – completely accidental," Podoliak wrote on Twitter .

He pointed out that the UN does not recognize the full-scale war, which has been ongoing for over 560 days, during which Ukrainian cities and villages are being wiped off the face of the earth. "And official calls to 'kill Ukrainians!' are not intentional. And the torture in filtration camps to force people to renounce their Ukrainian identity and impose Russian – also with love. The Ministry of Love. Oh, but the Russians are not acting like in Rwanda, not killing people by the millions. That's when Ukrainians voluntarily go out on the road, kneel down, meekly offer their heads to Russian soldiers to cut them off, en masse, for the record, then yes. Then we can talk about genocide," expressed his outrage the advisor to the head of the OPU.

Podoliak also noted that the UN likely considers the situation in Ukraine as a "righteous war," where they cut, burn, and rape a bit on an ethnic and state basis. "And let them continue, right, Mr. Mose? They have the right because the UN encourages it, right?" Podoliak concluded.

As a reminder, on September 4, the head of the UN's special commission, Eric Mose, acknowledged that there were insufficient evidence of "criminal intent" within the framework of the investigation of Russian genocide against the Ukrainian people. According to him, genocide is the physical or biological destruction of a certain group of people, and he asserts that such a phenomenon does not exist in Ukraine. At the same time, the UN recognizes the crimes of the Russian army in two categories – torture of people and the destruction of Ukraine's energy facilities.
