Washington expresses concerns about world oil prices
The Financial Times reported on March 22 that the United States has asked Ukraine to suspend attacks on russian oil refineries. The main reason for this appeal is the fear that it could cause an increase in world oil prices and provoke russia to retaliate, according to three anonymous sources with knowledge of these discussions.
According to the report, Washington officials have conveyed their warnings to senior officials of the Security Service of Ukraine and the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
The Financial Times emphasizes that the White House is concerned about the possibility of retaliatory attacks on energy infrastructure that is important to the West.
