Armenian PM Pashinyan hints at state's withdrawal from CSTO
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan hinted at the possibility of the country's withdrawal from the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO)
That's reported by espreso.tv
"Those who created the bubble alliance, whose members, as it turned out, left, were planning a war against us with Azerbaijan, are to blame", Pashinyan said in response to an opposition deputy's question about Armenia's withdrawal from the CSTO.
The prime minister also added that the state will decide when to withdraw from the Collective Security Treaty Organization, which is actually headed by Russia.
"We will withdraw, we will decide when", Pashinyan noted.
Afterwards, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan commented on Pashinyan's words, saying that the prime minister did not say that Armenia was withdrawing from the CSTO. This was reported by News.am.
"If someone claims that the Armenian prime minister said that Armenia is leaving the CSTO, they are wrong, and it is very easy to prove it. (...) He said that we will decide when we withdraw, but we will not go back. That's what was said, no less, no more", Mirzoyan said.
- On February 23, Pashinyan said that his country "froze " participation in the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), which is "dominated by Moscow".
