US working on new aid package for Ukraine — White House
White House spokesperson Karine Jean-Pierre said that the United States remains focused on supporting Ukraine's defense capabilities and is preparing a new aid package

It is noted that the US focus is now on the Kharkiv direction, as well as other regions of eastern Ukraine, where the Defense Forces are fighting.
"We are also working on another emergency assistance package for Ukraine", the spokeswoman said.
According to her, Russian troops have attempted an offensive in the Kharkiv region and may soon intensify offensive operations. Russia is trying to create a "shallow buffer zone along the Ukrainian border".
- On May 15, the United States announced that it would provide $2 billion in aid to Ukraine. The aid will also include a fund for defense companies.
