Jerry Heil and Alyona Alyona reach the final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2024
On Tuesday, May 7, the Swedish city of Malmö hosted the first semifinal of the Eurovision Song Contest, which saw the following Ukrainian representatives reach the final

The first semifinal featured representatives of 15 countries, 10 of which advanced to the grand final, which will take place on Saturday, May 11. Ukraine's alyona and Jerry Heil performed their song Teresa & Maria at number 5.
The music video for Alyona Alyona and Jerry Heil was choreographed by two-time Grammy nominee Tanu Muino, who has directed music videos for Harry Styles, The Weeknd, Billie Eilish, and more.
As a result, the Ukrainians reached the semifinals.
Serbia, Portugal, Slovenia, Lithuania, Finland, Cyprus, Croatia, Ireland, and Luxembourg also became finalists. Poland, Iceland, Moldova, Azerbaijan, and Australia failed to make it to the semifinals.

How the voting rules for Eurovision 2024 have changed
This year, the Eurovision organizers have changed the voting rules. In the final, viewers from the countries participating in the song contest will now be able to vote not after the last participant has taken the stage, but as soon as the first contestant's performance begins. Viewers from other countries who are not participating in the contest will be able to vote for 24 hours before the semi-finals and the final. In addition, only viewers' ratings will be taken into account in the qualifying rounds without jury scores.
Ukrainian residents cannot vote for Alyona Alyona and Jerry Heil.
The second semi-final of Eurovision 2024 will take place on May 9.
The final will feature representatives of 26 countries. The winner of Eurovision 2023 and the host of the contest, Sweden, and the United Kingdom, Spain, Italy, Germany, and France, which are the founders of the European Broadcasting Union, will be directly included.
