The Prosecutor General's Office has served a notice of suspicion to the chief of staff of the Kyiv City Military Administration (KMVA). According to the prosecutor's office, he assisted members of the Kyiv City Council in evading military service.

This was reported by the press service Office of the Attorney General  and The State Bureau of Investigation.

"According to the investigation, the chief of staff of the Kyiv City Military Administration illegally "seconded" deputies from a military unit to the Kyiv Military Administration. In this way, the official issued "business trips" to three Kyiv city deputies and an assistant to a Kyiv City Council deputy. During the year, they did not report for military service", - the statement said.

The prosecutor's office clarified that, despite this, the deputies received financial support from the unit where they allegedly served.

The State Bureau of Investigation also reported that the official helped to arrange a fake "business trip" for three city deputies and one of their assistants.

"According to the investigation, the chief of staff of the Kyiv City Military Administration illegally "seconded" deputies from a military unit to the Kyiv Military Administration. In this way, the official issued "business trips" to three Kyiv city deputies and an assistant to a Kyiv City Council deputy. During the year, they did not report for military service", - the statement said.

In August 2023, all four were notified of suspicion of evasion of military service, committed by a group of persons by prior conspiracy (part. 4 of Art. 409, Part 2 of Art. 28 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

"According to the investigation, the chief of staff of the Kyiv City Military Administration illegally "seconded" deputies from a military unit to the Kyiv Military Administration. During the year, they did not report for military service", - the statement said.

The department clarified that the issue of choosing a preventive measure against the suspect is currently being decided.
