Shahed has fallen in Romania, but NATO does not see it as a threat
Iranian drone crashes 4 km upstream from the city of Grindu
One of the kamikaze drones used by russia to attack the port infrastructure of Odesa region on the night of December 14 crashed in Romania, but NATO does not see this as a threat to its members.
This was reported by the Romanian Ministry of Defense and acting NATO spokesman Dylan White.
A 1.5-meter-deep crater was discovered this morning as a result of the crash of a russian drone used to attack Ukrainian port infrastructure in a deserted area about 4 km upstream of the town of Grindu.
"The Ministry of National Defense strongly condemns the attacks carried out by the russian federation on individual objects and civilian infrastructure in Ukrainian ports on the Danube. These attacks are unjustified and seriously violate the norms of international humanitarian law", - the ministry said.
The Romanian Defense Ministry also added that it will continue to carry out airspace monitoring and research missions in areas where risks may arise as a result of these situations.
Acting NATO spokesman Dylan White noted that there is no threat to the North Atlantic Alliance.
"NATO has no information to indicate any deliberate russian attacks against Allies. We continue to monitor the situation and remain in close contact with the Romanian authorities" - White said.
Recall that during the nighttime drone attack on Odesa region in Odesa, a dormitory was damaged by falling debris - 11 people were injured there, 11 buildings were also damaged and two cars burned down, and warehouses near the port were destroyed in Izmail district.
