Reading for education: recommendations from the Old Lion Publishing House
In ancient times, books were a source of knowledge available only to the elite. Over the past century, they have become commonplace and widespread, but they still help keep us informed.
The Old Lion Publishing House offers nine books united by the theme of our history, important events and military realities.
In the collection “War 2022: Diaries, Essays, Poetry”, compiled by Volodymyr Rafeenko, you will find fragments of diaries, essays, and poems by contemporary Ukrainian writers that realistically depict the struggle of Ukrainians for their values during the war of 2022.
In her novel “Stranger, Friend or Foe”, Iryna Feofanova examines women's fates during the war, telling the stories of ordinary Ukrainian women whose lives were turned upside down by russia's invasion.
“Living is Not Dying” is a collection of short stories and novellas by Oleksandra Osadka, an economist who died in Donetsk region in the summer of 2022 but left this work as a legacy.
