Beauty pageants are always a special format of competition that requires outstanding abilities, talents, and an unrivaled appearance. Women's beauty pageants have gained popularity all over the world. However, modern society is critical of these types of competitions. Nevertheless, on the night of 18-19 November, El Salvador hosted the final of the Miss Universe 2023 contest, which resulted in the victory of a beautiful Nicaraguan woman, Sheinnis Palacios.

Little is known about the winner of the contest. Sheinnis Palacios was born on May 31, 2000, in Managua, Nicaragua, and holds a degree in mass communications from the University of the Americas. This is not her first success at beauty contests, as she previously participated in Miss Universe 2021, where she was among the top 40 contestants. Sheinnis Palacios was also considered the most beautiful woman in Nicaragua, becoming the first representative of this country to win the Miss Universe pageant. The winner's crown was presented to her by the previous year's titleholder, R'Bonnie Gabrielle from the United States.

The second and third places in the beauty contest went to participants from Thailand and Australia, respectively.

At Miss Universe 2023, Ukraine was represented by Kyiv-based singer, model and volunteer Angelina Usanova. Although she failed to make it to the top 20, she was among the leaders in the Voice of Change nomination, where contestants presented videos about social issues that concern them.
