Around 5 am, the mayor reported explosions in Kharkiv. Instead, the head of the Kharkiv regional military administration, Oleh Syniehubov, said that the enemy had struck five times in the city. Later he announced that there were 9 of them.
"There may be power outages. The data is being updated", Syniehubov said.
According to him, the occupiers struck at least 10 times at the critical infrastructure of Kharkiv and the region. As of 05:38, the authorities have already recorded power outages.
Later, the head of the National Police in Kharkiv region, Volodymyr Tymoshko, said that the occupiers probably struck with S-300 air defense systems.
Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Oleksiy Kuleba stated that as a result of the attack, more than 200 thousand households in Kharkiv region were left without electricity supply.
"The subway is working as a shelter. Power engineers and specialized services are analyzing the consequences of a terrorist enemy attack. Specialists, local and regional authorities are working to eliminate the consequences of the attack as soon as possible", he added.
The Prosecutor General's Office said that the russian army attacked the region with at least ten S-300 missiles from the territory of Belgorod region.
As a result, there is damage to residential buildings and administrative buildings.
