Chechnya sets limits on music tempo to preserve cultural traditions
Kadyrov's son becomes deputy minister for physical culture and sports
According to The Moscow Times, Chechen Culture Minister Musa Dadayev has announced restrictions on the speed of music in the republic. From now on, all musical, vocal and choreographic works must have a tempo of 80 to 116 beats per minute to match the Chechen mentality and musical rhythm.
The decision was made in accordance with the opinion of Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov, who initiated a "huge work" to adapt Chechen music and choreography to national cultural standards. Musa Dadayev noted that the goal is to pass on the cultural heritage of Chechens, including customs, traditions and ethical norms, to future generations.
In addition, Magomed Daudov, the chairman of the Chechen parliament, announced the appointment of Ramzan Kadyrov's 18-year-old son, Akhmat, as deputy minister for physical education and sports.
