A new market in MEGOGO's portfolio: the service is launched in Romania
Ukrainian media service MEGOGO launches in Romania. This is the fifteenth market where the Ukrainian company will offer its services.
First of all, in Romania, the service will focus on online TV with interactive features and will offer a library of more than 1,000 movies and cartoons, which will be updated.
Currently, users have a free TV package available, as well as a paid Optim TV package, priced at 14.99 lei, with a wider list of over 100 channels. These include popular national channels Kanal D, Romania TV, TraLaLa TV, TVR 1, National TV, TV1000, Viasat History, Epic Drama, Bollywood TV and others.
"Today we are taking our first step in Romania, which is backed by years of unique experience in Ukraine and around the world, strong relationships with major international studios Warner Bros, Disney, Paramount and others, and months of hard work from the team. We based on our experience in the Polish market. We did a lot of market research and localisation work: from interface language, to local preferences, to agreements with copyright holders, to payment systems. We will gradually expand the catalogues, so stay tuned for updates," says Vladimir Borovik, founder and CEO of MEGOGO media service.
Constantin Pandela will be responsible for business development in Romania. Constantin has over 15 years of experience as a business manager in the Romanian TV industry. Previously, he worked for Romtelecom, Telekom Romania and Orange Romania, major players in the Romanian market.
The MEGOGO app is available in Romania for download on Google Play and App Store, on Smart TV and soon on game consoles.
