President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said that russia could launch a new offensive in Ukraine in late May or June this year

Zelenskyy emphasized that Ukraine needs help from partners because it is expected that russia could launch a new major offensive in the state in late May or June.

"And before that we need not only to prepare, we need not only to stabilize the situation, because partners are sometimes very happy that we stabilize the situation," Zelenskyy said, emphasizing that Ukraine needs help now.

The president said russia is in an "artillery war of attrition."

"And in Bakhmut, and in Avdiivka, and in Lysychansk, and in Soledar and so on it was really difficult to fight the enemy, whose artillery can fire at 20-plus kilometers, and (ours, - ed.) artillery - 20 with a minus," he added.

Zelenskyy also noted that usually when the russians attack Ukrainian villages and destroy them, they are trying to occupy them.

"We don't know what will happen tomorrow. So we have to prepare," the Ukrainian president said.
