Air defense, shells and long-range missiles: Umerov and Syrsky met with the leadership of the European Parliament
On Monday, March 25, Minister of Defense of Ukraine Rustem Umerov and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi met in Kyiv with a delegation of heads of European Parliament committees

During the meeting, the head of the Defense Ministry emphasized the great importance of the European Parliament and the European Union's assistance to Ukraine in countering russian aggression.
According to him, the intention to increase the volume of assistance is of great importance for both the military and civilians and Ukrainian infrastructure.
Umerov and Syrskyi also briefed the European delegation on the current situation at the frontline.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief said that the priority needs of the Security Forces are air defense systems, missiles, artillery systems and ammunition, as well as long-range firepower. He also noted the importance of continuing to train the Ukrainian military within the framework of the EU mission.
Umerov, in turn, called on the EU to strengthen sanctions against those who try to circumvent them, including those who supply spare parts for russian military vehicles.
"We in Europe must be united in the fight against russian aggression. We have to be one strong fist in the face of the barbarians' threat," he said.
In turn, the chairman of the European Parliament's Foreign Affairs Committee, David McAllister, said that the visit of several European Parliament committee chairmen to Ukraine is a signal of the European Parliament's unwavering all-party support for Ukraine in the fight against russian aggression.
"We appreciate the courage of the Ukrainian military. We will continue to support you and demand that you give Ukraine what you really need," he emphasized.
