The press service of the Ministry of Defense reported a significant success of Ukrainian air defense forces in the fight against russian aggression.

"Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, more than 2,000 russian cruise and ballistic missiles have been shot down. This is the result of the titanic work of the Ukrainian air defense system. Modern air defense systems provided by our partners have saved thousands of lives," the statement said.

The Defense Ministry also emphasized the need for additional air defense systems to protect citizens from attacks.

"Because civilian infrastructure remains the main target of russian strikes," the Defense Ministry reminded.

It is worth noting that two russian ballistic missiles, which, according to media reports, were probably Zircon missiles, were destroyed over Kyiv on the morning of March 25.
