Terekhov said that it is impossible to make forecasts about the full restoration of electricity supply in Kharkiv yet, as the damage to the energy infrastructure as a result of the enemy missile attack is very serious.
"All transformer substations were destroyed, and the TPS plant was destroyed. Today, it is impossible to say the exact date (of electricity restoration - ed.). No one can tell us," the mayor said.
According to him, about 60% of residential buildings now have heating, while only about 40% have electricity. He added that power engineers are still unable to provide electricity to the entire city due to emergency repairs.
Also, due to the lack of electricity, city electric transport - subway, trolleybuses and trams - is not working. Instead, additional municipal buses are running according to the blackout schedule. The city residents can also use the invincibility points and hot lunch distribution points.
"Now the schedules are being adjusted because everyone understands that the current situation is extremely difficult," Skichko said.
In turn, Sinegubov said that the power engineers of the region continue to restore power supply after the occupants' shelling.
In particular, on March 24, Kharkivoblenergo JSC began to apply emergency shutdown schedules. Their adjustment is ongoing, given the difficult situation in the power grids of Kharkiv region.
"We are working on the priority full power supply of critical infrastructure facilities, which will restore the full life of the city of Kharkiv and Kharkiv region," the head of the regional state administration added.
