DTEK lost half of its production facilities as a result of shelling
On March 22, DTEK lost half of its electricity generation as a result of the largest full-scale russian attack on Ukrainian infrastructure since the invasion.

"If we talk about DTEK Group, 50% of generation facilities have been lost. We will find out how much time and money it will take to restore them in a few more days," he said, adding that this process is long and may take "not a day, not a week, not a month."

According to Kovalenko, the russians fired at the energy infrastructure of several regions with 60 drones and 90 missiles simultaneously.
"The enemy attacked two parts of the system at once - the generating and distribution systems. To start with the former, several types of generation were hit - about 20 substations and Dniproges. Transformers and grid nodes that distribute energy were hit a lot," he stated.

Kovalenko noted that the attack can be considered a complex one, "as it reduces the ability of our system to generate and transmit."
- The russian army attacked Ukraine with 151 air strikes on the night of March 22. Ukrainian air defense destroyed 92 enemy targets. In Kharkiv, the occupiers struck more than 15 energy facilities.
