Ukraine has signed an agreement with the European Union on the state's participation in the European anti-fraud program

The agreement on cooperation in the fight against fraud was signed by the head of the Ministry of Finance, Serhiy Marchenko and the European Commissioner for Budget and Administration Johannes Hahn.
The aim of the program is to protect the EU's financial interests by supporting efforts to fight fraud and corruption affecting the European budget, as well as to support cooperation between the administrative authorities of the EU member states, ensuring proper implementation of legislation on customs and agricultural issues.
"Every day, Ukraine is getting closer to EU membership. Joining the anti-fraud program is another important step towards strengthening cooperation with the European Union and building reliable and transparent relations. The Government of Ukraine is absolutely committed to the goal of the program and is ready to strengthen cooperation to prevent any violations that harm the financial interests of both the EU and Ukraine," Marchenko said.
The Ministry of Finance noted that the agreement will improve the reporting processes of possible violations of EU funds, implement tools for the rapid exchange of administrative information in customs and agricultural affairs between the European Union and Ukraine.
