Employees of the State Border Guard Service, together with operatives of the Security Service of Ukraine, detained 34 men who were trying to illegally cross the Ukrainian-Romanian border.

This was reported by the press service of the SBGS.

"Law enforcement officers stopped a minibus with 34 men in the cargo compartment heading towards the border. During the detention, the violators behaved defiantly and did not comply with the legal requirements of the border guards. Law enforcement officers had to use physical force", - the statement said.

After the detention, it turned out that all the detainees were citizens of Ukraine, who lived in 12 different regions and were aged 25 to 40 years old. They all paid 10 thousand euros for a seat on the bus. The organizer of this illegal scheme for the fugitives was driving the vehicle. He collected clients using one of the messengers.

"The organizer faces 3 to 9 years in prison under Article 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Administrative proceedings have been drawn up against the other detainees", - the press service said.
