Ukraine national footballer Mykhailo Mudryk called false the information that he was injured before the game with Belgium at Euro-2024 in the gym

The player wrote a corresponding comment in the FOOTBALL UKRAINE public on Instagram.

He said that the information circulated there by the website "Champion" that on the eve of the decisive game of the group round of Euro 2024 against Belgium he injured himself in the gym was not true. Mudryk inserted a clown emoji and didn't hold back in his expressions.

"It's a pity that in our country people are only looking for an excuse to shi...t. It is more appropriate to find out the truth firsthand, and then to shit on it. The injury was received in the 80th minute against Slovakia. It's not even about criticism here, it's about the fact that some dunce throws in a story and they immediately believe it, and so many times already. Friends, believe only the facts, not the nonsense that is spread to collect views", Mudryk wrote in a comment to the publication.

The 23-year-old footballer played at Euro 2024 in two matches against Romania (0:3) and Slovakia (2:1). He missed the game against Belgium (0:0) due to injury.

How Ukraine performed at Euro 2024

The Ukraine national team got off to a poor start at the World Cup and, on June 17 in Munich, failed in their match against Romania and lost it 0-3. On June 21, in the 2nd round of Euro 2024, Ukrainian players won a willful victory over Slovakia — 2:1. On June 26, Ukraine played to a nil-nil draw with Belgium in Round 3.

In the final Group E standings, all teams have four points each. However, due to the worst goal difference, Ukraine finished last and failed to qualify for the playoffs.
