Border guards discovered a group of infiltrators on the Dniester, one of whom died while trying to swim across the river

Four Ukrainians paid $10,000 each to the organizers of the illegal trip abroad. However, the men were not warned that the way to Moldova would be through the Dniester River and that it could be deadly.

"When border guards exposed the "tourists", they threw themselves into the water and hoped to swim to the boat. However, the carrier abruptly turned the watercraft back to Moldova. Three men returned to the shore, but the fourth continued to swim across the river and later disappeared under water", — said in the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.

The border guards tried to save the offender, but found a dead body. The tragedy is now being investigated by police.
