Every corner of this magical country offers pastry masterpieces that reflect the rich tradition and innovative spirit of French pastry chefs. From classic macarons to sumptuous cakes, French desserts are a gastronomic delight that are a must-try. In this first part of the article, I invite you on a fascinating journey into the world of the most popular and delicious French desserts that will not leave you indifferent. First, let's figure out where to go for them!

In France, patisseries and bakeries are diverse and have their own unique specialization. One of the most popular categories is Pâtisserie — classic patisseries where a variety of desserts, pastries, cakes and other sweets are made and sold. One of the most famous patisseries is Ladurée , which is famous for its macarons. Another famous patisserie is Pierre Hermé , known for its innovative desserts and macarons.

Traditional bakeries in France are known as Boulangerie, where they bake bread, croissants, baguettes and other dough products. Poilâne  is one of the most famous bakeries known for its traditional bread. Another famous bakery is Du Pain et des Idées , famous for its croissants and other pastries.

Confectioneries specializing in chocolate and chocolate products are called Chocolaterie. For example, La Maison du Chocolat is known for its fine chocolates, and Jean-Paul Hévin  for its chocolates and truffles.
