Ukraine national team defender Oleksandr Svatok has moved from "Dnipro-1" to American club "Austin"

Svatok has signed a 3.5-year contract with the MLS (Major League Soccer) club with an option to extend it for another season.

The 29-year-old central defender played for Dnipro 1 for the last 5 seasons, played 108 matches, scored 3 goals and made 3 assists. He was the captain of the team.

Svatok has also played for Dnipro, Volyn, Zarya and Croatian Hajduk.  

The defender has played 6 matches for the Ukraine national team, with which he is currently at Euro 2024.

How Ukraine performs at Euro 2024

The Ukraine national team has had a poor start at the European Football Championship. Serhiy Rebrov's team collapsed against Romania on June 17 in Munich and lost 0-3.

On June 21, in the second round of Euro 2024, the Ukrainian players rehabilitated themselves with a 2-1 victory over Slovakia.

In the final match of the group round of Euro 2024, Ukraine will play against Belgium on June 26. Romania and Slovakia will play in a parallel match.

All teams in Group E have three points after two rounds. However, our national team is in the last position in terms of goal difference.

The teams that finish first and second in their groups, as well as four of the top six teams that will take the third position, will qualify for the 1/8 finals.
