Skylum has presented Luminar Mobile: AI photo editor now available on all Apple devices, including iPhone
Skylum, the Ukrainian developer of the world-famous AI photo editor Luminar Neo, is expanding the photo processing capabilities of creatives and professional photographers. The company has updated Luminar for iPad, expanding it to iPhone for the first time and renaming it Luminar Mobile. An improved version of the photo editing app with AI functionality is now available for all iPad, iPhone, and Apple Vision Pro users
According to Skylum CEO Ivan Kutanin, rethinking and adapting the powerful iPhone software was a challenge the team couldn't avoid after the recent launch of the AI photo editor for tablets.
"With Luminar for iPad, we've created a first-class mobile technology solution. However, many people prefer photo post-processing tools primarily on smartphones. So for the past few months, we've been working to ensure that iPhone users also get the best photo editing tools available. And now, thanks to Luminar Mobile, this is possible: the application will help with fast, convenient and, most importantly, professional photo processing", said Ivan Kutanin.
Luminar Mobile has retained the innovative and playful design from the previous version of the app. The app's interface responds to user touches with realistic effects and sounds. For example, while browsing through the LUT collection searching for the perfect filter for your photo, you can hear the nostalgic click of a film changer.
In addition, the app has adopted a wide range of photo editing tools that will suit photographers of all levels — from basic colour correction settings to powerful AI tools. For example, the Enhance AI feature enhances photos with about 20 built-in settings, Sky AI allows you to replace the sky, Structure AI emphasises details and textures, and Relight AI balances lighting and contrast.
The product upgrade was not without new functionality. Thus, Luminar Mobile received two additional specialized AI functions for portrait retouching — Skin AI and Body AI. Owners of Apple Vision Pro will be able to edit photos in VR environments with an adapted program interface.
Download the application developed by Ukrainians in the App Store . The company noted that all Luminar for iPad users with a current subscription will receive a free update for Luminar Mobile, giving them access to the app on iPad, iPhone, and Apple Vision Pro.
Recall that Skylum is a leading innovator in photo editing software and the company behind the award-winning Luminar Neo app. This photo editor, in particular, received awards TIPA 2022 ,TIPA 2023 and TIPA 2024 in the category Best Imaging Software for Photography Enthusiasts.
