Ukrainian forward Roman Yaremchuk said that the match against Slovakia at Euro 2024 was the most important in his career
"It is a great pride to represent the country. In these challenging times, it's an affirmation that we never give up, no matter what, and only move forward. We got a big blow under our breath a few days ago and against Slovakia was the most important match of my career. We gave our whole life for this victory, all the emotions. Thanks to the fans for their support — we can prepare for the next match with pride", said the forward.
In the match against Slovakia (2:1), Yaremchuk came on as a substitute and scored the winning goal.
"In training you work out several hundred times such moments. If you take them seriously in training, you will definitely get lucky in the game. Against Slovakia I had an episode when I had to make two quick touches to the ball, because both the opponent and the goalkeeper were close to me. I had no time for any movements, so it turned out that I took the ball and shot. And it turned out that the ball went into the goal", Roman Yaremchuk said.

The Ukrainian emphasized that he never gives up.
"You work for it. I had a whole season of patience, I went through a lot of injuries, different periods in my career. But I never gave up, I knew that a moment like the one against Slovakia would come. And that I would be proud to work very hard for them. After two Euro 2024 matches, the Ukrainian players have 3 points. Slovakia also have 3 points. Romania (3 points) and Belgium (0) will meet in the parallel match of Group E, which starts at 22:00 on Saturday.
In the final match of the group round of Euro-2024 Ukraine will play against Belgium. The match will take place on June 26. Kick-off is at 19:00.
