MP Dmytro Razumkov believes that the authorities are trying to create another repressive body in the country in the form of a military police force
This opinion he expressed on the air of Espresso
"This week, the Verkhovna Rada considered a bill on military police. It's a good name, but better would be a good essence. In fact, the authorities want to build a police state. Since today this bill does not meet the challenges that are there. Today another repressive mechanism is being created, which will be used not only for the military, but also for civilians. After all, the wording that this structure will work with the military and their relatives is very vague. Accordingly, this structure will be able to influence not only military personnel, but everyone in this state", he explained.
The MP believes that the military police will be effective if the relevant justice and courts work
"Today, everyone in the country has a friend, acquaintance or relative who is a serviceman. Therefore, military police can touch everyone. If we are talking about a comprehensive approach, there should be military justice and courts. Then it will work. However, as practice shows — the authorities should not go, but checkers", he added.
