South Korean soldiers fired a warning shot after DPRK troops crossed the border for the third time in a month
A number of North Koreans reportedly crossed into South Korea's demilitarized zone on June 20 and retreated after a verbal warning that was accompanied by warning shots.
The incident came hours after Russian dictator Vladimir Putin wrapped up his visit to North Korea, where he and Kim Jong-un signed a treaty that provides for mutual assistance in the event of aggression against either country.
- Remember, the first such incident occurred back on June 9. The South Korean military said it fired warning shots after several North Korean soldiers briefly crossed their border.
