Law enforcers found that a Kyiv man, who was previously wanted for a criminal offense in Odessa region, sought legal assistance services from a 50-year-old lawyer.

According to investigators, the woman assured the client that the only way to solve the "problem" — to provide through her an undue benefit in the amount of $ 30,000 to the police investigator.

Police detained the lawyer while receiving from the man the first tranche — 12 thousand dollars. They also seized the money and the foreign car in which the so-called transaction took place.

The woman was announced on suspicion of incitement to provide an undue benefit to an official who holds a responsible position. The article provides for a term of up to eight years with confiscation of property.

Note: according to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent of committing a crime and cannot be criminally punished until his guilt is legally proven and established by a guilty verdict of the court.
