A woman escaped from occupation in Kherson region
At the evacuation place, the Ukrainian military rescued a woman who had walked to the surviving part of the Antonivka Bridge
The first deputy chairman of the Kherson regional council, Yuriy Sobolevsky, reported. He noted that such uncoordinated actions were risky for this woman and other people who may try to repeat this feat.
"It is also a big risk for the guys who performed the rescue operation — everything is shot through there. And after the publicity that followed this event, it is clear that there may be a command from the russian military not to allow such a thing to happen again", Sobolevsky said.
So far, he has no more information about the woman. The deputy head of the regional council emphasized that every Ukrainian citizen who returned from the temporarily occupied territory is already a small victory because these people are under very big risks every day.
russia is trying to integrate people in the temporarily occupied territories into its system, to make them "as zombies" as its own, russian population, Sobolevsky explained. The official noted that there are different circumstances why people remain in the occupation: there are those who physically cannot leave, for example, who have seriously ill relatives, someone else has other weighty circumstances.
"We must not allow a situation when the population will form the opinion that people who have remained in the temporarily occupied territories and have been in occupation for a long time, that these are not our people, that they are not Ukrainians, are not patriots. This is not true", Sobolevsky said.
He emphasized that there is a certain percentage of traitors who go "wherever the wind blows". But there are a lot of Ukrainians in the temporarily occupied territories who are waiting for the AFU and liberation, and Ukraine should support them as much as possible now.
russia announces its plans to bring at least 50,000 people — representatives of peoples living in russia and russians — to the temporarily occupied territories of Zaporizhzhia region. According to the head of the Zaporizhzhia RSA, Ivan Fedorov, the enemy is doing this in order to change the ethnic composition of the population.
