The United States and Poland jointly founded the Ukrainian Communications Group (UCG) in Warsaw to support Ukraine against Russian aggression in the information space

The U.S. State Department's Global Engagement Center reported.

UCG aims to bring allies together to enhance coordination to effectively expose Russian disinformation and propaganda. It will coordinate messaging and promote accurate reporting on Russia's full-scale invasion. The group aims to combat fake narratives about Russian aggression against Ukraine in the global information environment.

"The Kremlin repeatedly employs lies and manipulation to use false pretexts for its unjustified invasion, to conceal its military objectives, and to attempt to destroy worldwide solidarity with the Ukrainian people. UCG is dedicated to countering these deceptive narratives and strengthening honest coverage of Ukraine's resilience and bravery in the face of Russia's aggression", the report said.

The opening ceremony of the Ukrainian Communications Group office took place on June 10 in Warsaw, attended by U.S. diplomat James Rubin, who is in charge of combating disinformation, and Tomasz Chlon, Polish Foreign Minister's Commissioner for Countering International Disinformation, — as reported by the Polish Foreign Ministry's website.

The initiative will bring together such partner countries and international organizations as Finland, France, Canada, Lithuania, Latvia, Germany, Poland, Slovenia, the United States, Sweden, Ukraine, NATO, the European External Action Service (EEAS) and others.
