National Guard to switch to NATO-standard dry rations
During the interview, Deputy Commander of the National Guard Bilous spoke about the new dry rations
The National Guard of Ukraine has developed new samples of dry rations according to NATO standards, which are currently being tested. This was reported by the deputy commander of the National Guard for logistics, Brigadier General Oleksandr Bilous, in an interview.
Bilous said, "We are finalizing a new sample of dry rations, based on the dry rations of Poland and the United States, that is, these are NATO samples".
According to him, specialists have tried to make the dry rations not only tasty and nutritious, but also convenient so that they take up as little space as possible. Therefore, the National Guard refused glass and metal jars, using only thermopacks.
Bilous specified that the new dry rations will include meat-and-vegetables and canned meat, cookies, jam, tea and coffee. And, according to NATO standards, the caloric content of the food set will be about 4,000 kcal.
