It is noted that after the presidential and parliamentary elections in 2019, 80% of Ukrainians trusted President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. However, by February 2022, the level of trust gradually decreased to 37%.

Subsequently, after the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, the trust level rose to 90%. By the end of December 2023, the confidence level dropped to 77%, and by February 2024, the confidence level dropped to 64%. As of May 2024, 59% trust the president, while 36% do not trust him.

Dynamics of trust in V. Zelenskyy during 2019-2024

"At the same time, we want to note once again that now Volodymyr Zelenskyy retains legitimacy in the eyes of Ukrainian society and the majority of Ukrainians continue to trust him (and 70-80% oppose the elections now). However, the trend of decreasing trust continues and, as can be seen from the results, the main reasons for criticism from ordinary Ukrainians are not always successful personnel policy and decisions and issues of justice", the report says.

The poll was conducted from May 16 to May 22.
