Verkhovna Rada adopts draft law on preschool education

What is known about it
Law Bill No. 8030 on preschool education was registered with the Verkhovna Rada on September 13, 2022. It aims to:
- expand opportunities and guarantees for preschool education for all preschool children, taking into account the needs, abilities and choice of individual educational trajectories, including for children with special educational needs, IDP children;
- introduce deregulation and democratization in the education system;
- provide a system of economic guarantees for the development of preschool education institutions;
- take into account the potential of institutions, including private ones;
- create incentives for investment in preschool education;
- stimulate civil protection in preschool education, etc.
The bill was drafted and submitted to the Verkhovna Rada by a group of MPs led by Volodymyr Voronov, chairman of the subcommittee on early development and preschool education of the Committee on Education, Science and Innovation.
- On the same day, the Verkhovna Rada supported the bill to allow the SSSCIP to temporarily, during martial law, buy drones, EW and ammunition for the needs of defense.
