According to official information, as of June 4, 2024, 551 children were killed and more than 1,368 were injured of varying severity as a result of Russian full-scale armed aggression in Ukraine.

The most children were injured in Donetsk region — 536, Kharkiv region — 389, Kherson region — 152, Dnipropetrovsk region —143, Kyiv region —130, Zaporizhzhia region — 108, Mykolaiv region — 107.

The Verkhovna Rada commissioner, Dmytro Lubinets, noted that at least 790 children are known to have died since the start of the Russian-Ukrainian war in 2014.

"Each such tragedy  is further evidence of the genocide of the Ukrainian people. The world must react to the killing of innocent children and act to punish Russia and prevent new victims",  he wrote.

In particular, the Office of the Prosecutor General added that on June 3, a 12-year-old boy was killed as a result of the shelling of Donetsk. Also today, June 4, as a result of the shelling of the Dnieper, two boys were injured, one 1-month-old and the other 17 years old.

  • Russian military stole 46 children from Kherson to Russia during the city's occupation. Many of them can now be adopted in Russia.
