Border Police announces figures: over 81,100 means of transport and 205,383 persons

More than 200,000 people entered Romania on Friday, the highest traffic was recorded at the Hungarian border and at airports, according to the Border Police.On the entry side, control formalities were carried out for some 205,383 people, including 9,518 Ukrainian citizens. As of 10 February 2022, 6,932,896 Ukrainian citizens have entered Romania.

More than 153,900 people and 50,300 vehicles crossed the border from Hungary in the last 24 hours. Airport crossing points also saw heavy traffic, with over 67,000 people, reports Agerpres.

At the border with Hungary, border formalities are carried out jointly with the Hungarian authorities, and there is constant cooperation to ensure synchronization of measures.

In their areas of responsibility, border guards detected 61 illegal acts, including 32 offenses and 29 contraventions. Fines worth 103,000 lei were imposed and goods worth over 810,000 lei were seized for confiscation.

Entry or exit restrictions were also imposed on 16 foreign citizens and 12 Romanian citizens for various legal reasons.
