Almost half of the Poles surveyed are in favor of introducing a four-day work week with the current salary.
This was reported by espresso.tv

This was reported by Wprost  with reference to the results of a survey conducted by IBRiS agency.

At the same time, 24% of respondents answered, "definitely not" to the question whether it is worth switching to a 4-day working week. 14% of respondents were undecided. Most of the opponents of the idea of reducing the working week are among 30-year-olds.

This is the second big poll in Poland on shortening the working week. The SW Research agency asked Poles whether they support the introduction of a 35-hour working week, provided that their salary is maintained: 60% answered "yes".

The idea of a 35-hour week is being promoted in the Polish parliament by two radical parties, Razem and Nowa Lewica, which have registered a bill. A large political party Law and Justice opposes the reduction of the working week.

According to the initiators of the bill, there is no unity in the Sejm on the adoption of the law and it is still impossible to predict when exactly Poland will switch to a shorter working week.

  • In February, it was reported that almost fifty German companies had launched an experiment with a four-day workweek.
