Marvel actor Chris Hemsworth receives a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame
Australian actor Chris Hemsworth, best known for his role as Thor in the Marvel superhero films, now has his own star on the Walk of Fame in Los Angeles for his achievements in the film industry
Australian actor Chris Hemsworth, along with his wife, Spanish actress Elsa Pataky, and three children, attended the unveiling of a personalized star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on May 23. This star recognized the actor's significant contribution to cinema.
The certificate of receipt of the award, posing for photographers, was held by one of Chris's twin sons.

The Hollywood Walk of Fame is a globally recognized sidewalk attraction in Los Angeles that features stars with the names of celebrities who are being recognized for their achievements in the entertainment industry. Not only American actors are featured on this alley. Other actors from Australia and New Zealand, such as Nicole Kidman, Eric Bana, Russell Crowe, Cate Blanchett, and Simon Baker, have also been honored with personalized stars.
"We are proud to honor Hemsworth with a well-deserved star. Chris is known for his remarkable roles that have captivated audiences around the world", the organization said in a statement.
They noted that they have added "another talented Australian" to the iconic walk of fame.
In 2022, the Thor actor took part in the new National Geographic documentary series Limitless about overcoming the natural decline that comes with aging. During the filming, Hemsworth underwent a series of genetic tests, which resulted in the discovery of two copies of the APOE4 gene in his DNA: one from his mother and one from his father, which is associated with an increased risk of Alzheimer's disease. Attia, the doctor in the documentary series, says that this increases the likelihood of developing Alzheimer's disease eight to ten times in the future.
Because of the risks of Alzheimer's disease, he began to do fewer movies. Hemsworth assured that he is not completing his work in the movies, but only slowing down to spend more time with his family.
Chris Hemsworth starred in the films Thor, The Avengers, Men in Black: International, A Perfect Getaway, Hacker, and many others. His latest movie is Furious: Mad Max. The Saga — a prequel to "Mad Max: Fury Road", which was released in Ukraine on May 23. In this movie, a 15-minute fight scene was filmed for 78 days.
