Rocket attack on Kharkiv: Factor-Druc Printing House destroyed, some dead

People were killed and injured during the attack on Kharkiv, one of the largest printing houses in Europe was destroyed
The Vivat publishing house reported that on May 23, russia launched a missile attack on Kharkiv, hitting the Factor-Druc printing house. The attack killed and injured people, and a fire broke out in the paper shop. Factor-Druc is one of the largest full-cycle printing complexes in Europe, where books of many Ukrainian publishers are printed. Vivat publishing house and Vivat bookstores are also part of the Factor holding.
"This is one of the largest full-cycle printing complexes in Europe, so not only books by Vivat publishing house, but also almost all Ukrainian publishers are printed there. The Family Leisure Club publishing house also confirmed that it prints many of its books at Factor-Druc, as it is one of the three largest printing houses in Ukraine. They noted that 11 of their books are currently being printed.
"From a business perspective, we will reconfigure the processes, and eventually the books will be released, but this is not the main thing now. You can't bring people back", KSD noted.
The British Ambassador to Ukraine, Martin Harris, reacted to the russian attack on the printing house.
"Today, russian missiles hit the Factor-Druc Printing House in Kharkiv, where books by Vivat Publishing House were printed. Ukrainians are buying books in response, and so am I. Vivat, Vivat!" he wrote on the social network X.
Yulia Orlova, CEO and co-owner of Vivat Publishing House, said that people were working in the building, and the rubble was being cleared, and the victims were being rescued.
"Yes, this is our printing house. There is a fire now. The rubble is being cleared and people are being rescued", Orlova wrote.
The information was also confirmed by writer Anastasia Nikulina on Facebook.
"russians hit the printing house of my publishing house Vivat: there are dead and wounded. There are no words for anger and hatred, but words for support and donations. You can support by ordering books from the publishing house. Donations can be made at the collection. Everything you see is possible", Nikulina emphasized.
As of 19:13, the firefighters extinguished the fire that arose as a result of the attack. On the afternoon of May 23, a series of explosions occurred in Kharkiv and the region. As a result, people were killed and injured. As of 12:50 p.m., there were 6 dead and 16 wounded. The enemy launched at least 15 attacks on the city, preliminarily with S-300 missiles.
