On Wednesday, May 22, Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk condemned those who question the legitimacy of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
This was reported by espresso.tv
"Anyone who today, during the period of martial law, raises the question of the legitimacy of the President of Ukraine is an enemy of Ukraine... I really don't want political nits to undermine the legitimacy of the government in Ukraine", said Ruslan Stefanchuk.

The Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada emphasized that the law on the legal regime of martial law has a provision that all state authorities continue to operate until the special regime of martial law is lifted.

"Article 108 of the Constitution clearly regulates the moment when the exercise of presidential powers ends. They are determined by a single moment — the inauguration of the next president of Ukraine", Stefanchuk said in a statement.
  • On May 20, the Center for Countering Disinformation warned about a Russian fake that Volodymyr Zelenskyy "did not prolong, but usurped power in Ukraine".
