American University Kyiv is a private university offering American-style higher education. It started its operations 3 weeks before Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, but despite the difficulties, it continued to work and develop.

There are now about 350 students enrolled at the university. These are future managers, entrepreneurs, and IT specialists.

According to the rector of the university, Jacek Leszkow, one of the most important advantages of the university is the opportunity to get a double degree — from the Ukrainian university itself and an American one from its partner in the United States — Arizona State University, one of the largest in the United States, which is also a leader in digital and distance learning.

"Our curricula are fully synchronized with those of Arizona State University. The possibility of obtaining a double degree is very important in terms of building a successful career in Ukraine and in global markets", emphasized Jacek Leszkow.

The rector shared that a week ago, the first graduation of Ukrainian students at Arizona State University took place.

"Many of our students were able to attend the graduation ceremony in the United States. I was very happy that the students became an important part and carried the Ukrainian flag during a large-scale graduation ceremony at Arizona State University", he said.

The university says it is proud of its graduates and is confident that they will build and glorify Ukraine.

"Ukraine is the homeland of the Mriya, the largest airplane in human history. It was destroyed because of the war, but no one can destroy the true Ukrainian dream of freedom, independence and prosperity", the students emphasized during their speech.
