"In total, more than 9900 residents have been evacuated from the border settlements of the Kharkiv region by joint efforts. About 2500 people were evacuated from the Vovchansk community alone", the statement said.
Rescuers emphasized that the evacuation in the Kharkiv region is still ongoing, namely from the border settlements of Bohodukhiv, Chuhuiv and Kharkiv districts.
- On May 10, two volunteers from Kyiv region disappeared in Vovchansk during the evacuation. According to preliminary data, the police assume that they could have been shot by the occupiers.
- Later, it became known that the Russian military prohibited local residents from evacuating from the northern part of Vovchansk in the Kharkiv region. They are taking civilians prisoner, and executions have also been recorded.
