A building erected without permits is demolished on the territory of the National Museum of History of Ukraine
In Kyiv, a building erected by the UOC-MP on the territory of the National Museum of History of Ukraine in the UNESCO buffer zone was dismantled. The building was erected in violation of the law, without an archaeological survey and permits from the relevant authorities. The museum announced a fundraiser for the dismantling, collecting 870 thousand hryvnias in 16 hours.
During the dismantling of the building erected by the UOC-MP on the territory of the National Museum of History of Ukraine, it was found that the building was erected without permission from the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy, as well as without an archaeological survey and permission from the Institute of Archeology of the NASU. According to the documents, it was three 20-square-meter kiosks, which is how the name "MAF temple" came about. The museum did not have the funds to dismantle them, so it announced a fundraising drive to raise UAH 772,000, but managed to raise UAH 870,000 in 16 hours. The excess funds were used to purchase related materials for the demolition of the building.
Also, at the Zvirynetska metro station in Kyiv, the old Soviet name of the Druzhby Narodiv was dismantled and two of the four sets of the new name were installed.
