Stolen gold and silver circuit boards worth UAH 65 million found in Zhytomyr region
The State Bureau of Investigation is checking possible links between the suspects in the case of misappropriation of property of a military unit in Zhytomyr region and russian special services. On May 14, SBI officers conducted five searches in the homes of four possible suspects. Computer equipment, communications equipment, military property, and UAH 3.5 million in various currencies were found and seized. St. George's ribbons and 110 thousand russian rubles were found on the person of one of the defendants.

In November 2024, boards with tens of kilograms of gold and silver worth UAH 65 million were found on the territory of a military unit in Zhytomyr region. The boards were found in the garages during an inspection. According to the passport data, the blocks contain approximately 50 tons of unaccounted for precious metals. The estimated value of the property is UAH 65.66 million.
