russian troops failed to advance and gain a foothold in Kharkiv region, says Oleksandr Skoryk, a member of the regional council
The deputy of the Kharkiv regional council, Oleksandr Skoryk stated that the Ukrainian Defense Forces are successfully holding back russian troops in the Kharkiv region. According to him, the russians are suffering significant losses trying to gain a foothold in the northern part of Vovchansk and in the village of Hlyboke.

Skoryk said on the air of the media channel that over the past day, russian troops have not been able to advance and gain a foothold in the Kharkiv region. The Ukrainian Defense Forces have pulled up reserves and are destroying enemy equipment. Skoryk also said that russians are dying in their hundreds trying to gain a foothold in the northern part of Vovchansk and in the village of Hlyboke. Since May 10, their enthusiasm has diminished, and they are trying to show their strength to propagandists. Volunteers report that snipers are hunting for Russians, preventing them from evacuating. The situation is under control, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are holding the line and counterattacking.

The russian occupation army has advanced no more than 8 kilometers from the border since the start of the intensified offensive in Kharkiv region. The russians continue to attack along almost the entire front line, focusing their main efforts on the Pokrovsk and Kupiansk directions. Roman Vlasenko, head of the Sievierodonetsk district military administration, noted that the intensity of russian military operations in Luhansk region has decreased.
