Shakhtar defeat Vorskla in the final of the Ukrainian Cup

On Wednesday, May 15, Vorskla Poltava lost to Shakhtar Donetsk in the final of the Ukrainian Football Cup

The match ended with Shakhtar's 2:1 victory over Vorskla. In the 40th minute, Danylo Sikan put the "pitmen" ahead, and in the 56th minute, Yukhym Konoplya doubled the team's lead.

In the 85th minute, Vorskla forward Mykola Kovtalyuk hit the "pitmen's" goal and reduced the gap for the Poltava team. However, there was not enough time to improve the result.

On the way to the final of the Ukrainian Cup, Vorskla defeated Metalist 1925 Kharkiv, Obolon Kyiv and Polissya Zhytomyr.

Shakhtar defeated Chornomorets Odesa, Victoria Sumy and Veres Rivne.
